The offseason has officially begun, and the Twins have made their first big moves, exercising the club options on longtime veterans Jorge Polanco and Max Kepler.Polanco is due $10.5 million next season and Kepler will earn $10 million. LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – While National Grid worked near a restaurant in Lake George it made a discovery, human remains that are believed to be from the Revolutionary War. Experts said the remains were in an unmarked grave and likely the first protected under a new law.The company’s gas crews were working on a gas line near the Lobster Pot restaurant on October 17 when they found a human skull. According to National Grid, all work was stopped and has not yet resumed. It was reported to the Town of Lake George. “In this case we think we have a pretty good idea already. This is an area where there have been human remains found since the 1800s. On this particular lot there’s been at least seven different instances when graves have been found,” said Lisa Anderson, the curator of bioarchaelogy at the New York State Museum. President Megan Green is demanding a jury trial over a Central West End protest during which she alleges she was tear-gassed back in 2017.The lawsuit was originally filed before Green became the President of the Board of Alderman. Jacob Adler, 25, faces two felonies in connection with the death of Matthew Nikolai, 17, was struck and killed in July 2022 while walking across Chippewa Street. Spirit Airlines is departing Denver International Airport early next year as the budget carrier faces concerns over the engines in its fleet of Airbus 320 jets.Spirit will no longer fly in and out of Denver as of Jan. 9, DIA spokeswoman Stephanie Figuero told The Denver Post in an email. Five San Bernardino residents were arrested in connection to catalytic convertor thefts and a vehicle burglary, authorities with the Laguna Beach Police Department announced Thursday.The residents, whose identities weren’t released, were arrested and taken into custody for vehicle burglary, possession of a controlled substance, violation of parole, vandalism, possession of burglary tools, and conspiracy, a news release said.On Oct. 29, personnel with the Laguna Beach Police Department responded to calls of a vehicle burglary at the 100 block of Mountain Street in Laguna Beach.
